Work in Canada

Would you like to work in Canada, but don’t know where to start?

There are many different options available to you.

Did you know that…

  • You can legally work while studying,
  • Start your profession of choice after graduation,
  • Establish yourself in Canada to develop your career?

Let’s take a look…

Work while studying

When you enroll in a Canadian College (either Private or Public one) you are allowed to work 24hrs/week on-campus, and 20hrs/week off-campus. Moreover, you can work full time on scheduled breaks during the academic period.

Our programs include a work-term period known as Co-op, which gives students the opportunity to work in their field of study full-time without attending classes for a certain period of time. This is another great opportunity to earn “professional Canadian work experience” before even graduating. The latter is paramount to develop a strong curriculum and career, while also getting paid!

Would you like to know more about the different options, and how to maximize the work-term period?

Work After Studies

There are numerous PGWP eligible colleges in Ontario – but first of all what is a PGWP? And where are the colleges eligible for PGWP?

PGWP – Post Graduate Work Permit

Only certain colleges give you the opportunity to apply for a PGWP and continue your stay in Canada after completing your studies.

After graduating from a PGWP eligible learning institution, you may apply to obtain an open work permit (PGWP) for 8 months up to 3 years.

With this work permit, students can gain Canadian experience in skill type 0, A, or B as per the IRCC’s National Occupational Classification (NOC). After that, candidates can easily apply for Canada’s Permanent Residency.
